How to Delete Your Account
You can initiate deletion directly in the app from Settings > Account > Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing [email protected] or by using the public request page at https://wardlink.link/data-deletion.
What Is Deleted
Account deletion removes your WardLink account, profile details, authentication record, team memberships, and personal data associated with the account from active production systems. Patient records and team records you created are deleted or transferred according to team ownership rules, legal retention duties, and institutional obligations.
Timeframe
We aim to delete data from active production systems within 30 days after verifying the request. Encrypted backups may persist until normal backup rotation expires, typically within 90 days. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, audit integrity, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or healthcare-record obligations.
Important Notes
A deletion request is treated as a request to permanently remove the account and associated user data, subject to the limited retention reasons described above. Signing out, uninstalling the app, or stopping use of WardLink does not by itself delete account data.
Verification
For safety, we may ask you to verify account ownership before completing a deletion request. We will confirm completion or explain any legally required retention in writing.
